About Radialwood
Radialwood Plantations is a privately owned Australian company. We are investing in a sustainable future in the ongoing supply of durable timber for power poles and the building and construction industries throughout Australia.
Like many Australians we do not want further destruction of our old growth native forests and believe farming trees is a viable option.
Background
Radialwood plans to establish 5000 hectares of high value tree plantation in Victoria over the next five years.
It has identified four hardwood eucalypt species that grow well in Victoria and will produce quality, high value, durable sawlogs for our Radial sawmill in South Gippsland. Radialwood is looking for a minimum of 50 hectare allotments within larger parcels of land that it can utilize to plant, grow and manage its trees.
It is offering to form joint ventures with local land owners where the establishment and ongoing management cost for these plantations will be covered by Radialwood. We will contract the experiences plantation management company Woollybutt Pty Ltd to prepare, plant and manage the plantation. In return the landowner will be given equity in the plantation that will increase over the life of the plantation. This will be in lieu of land rental. The landowner will not be required to pay any establishment, management or ongoing costs but can share in both the financial and other benefits resulting from having a hardwood plantation on their property.
Already over 70 hectares has been planted under this arrangement. The financial windfall when the plantation is harvested in 25 years will be a valuable asset to help in retirement or to leave "something for the kids".

We now invite other landowners to join these experienced and innovative companies in establishing a viable ongoing resource of durable timber.
The stakeholders have the experience and ability to prepare, plant, grow, manage, harvest, mill and market every sawlog that is produced by this plantation programme.
